Every Mondays at school we used to gather around one of our classmates and he used to tell us stories about what they did on the weekend, Mugging people, fights with other crews/gangsters,night life, girls the scars, guns and clashes with police. They are feared and worshipped sometimes, always being praised for being brave and brutal. Soweto,Mlazi, Sosha, Ngangelizwe all the tsotsis are seen to be cool and have all the attention from all the girls and peers. This happens in all townships If May say. At some stage it becomes cool and all the bad thugs are seen to be the coolest people in the block. See when one grows up there ,all they see are criminals and crime is basically the only thing you see. When I grew in Mdantsane most of the young men I grew up with are criminals or were criminals at some stage of their lives. Yes, poverty does play a huge role in how many of these boys dont have anything else to do, but go to school and do nothing afterwards. See I will try and disect from my expirience of where I grew up in Mdantsane, one of the most bruttal townships in South Africa and from you can make your own views.Mdantsane is in East london in the Eastern cape and the province is one of ther poorest provinces in the country. They are there because they adopted bad habits at early stages of their lives, and most of them spend the rest of their lives goin in and out of jail. Some do it just to get street credits. Juvenile jails are packed with young men and little budding tsotsis.

Truth is all these criminals and thugs have different reasons for doing what they do.Most will tell you there are no jobs and its the only way they make money or find something to eat.My reaction to that Nigga please!!! if you become a young thug at age 14-15, you cannot tell me there were no jobs, you were suppose to be at school by then. One cannot really point a finger to one thing and say that is the one main thing. The question really is what causes crime? is it unemployement?, lack of common jobs?, lack of education? lack of guidance from parents?, lack of guidance at school? or maybe peer pressure? However, riddle suggests an enigma or problem involving paradox or apparent contradiction.Hope you have been well over the year.Well I have been really busy not posting anything.
